Legal Stuff

*******Copyright License*******

I have realized that, in a world where people think that taking writing created by one person and using it as their own is okay, no matter how many people actually read this blog, I need to have it protected under copyright.  And now it is.  What follows is the necessary legal stuff that this world unfortunately needs to protect the mind.

This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 Unported License.  So basically, you can quote any of my blog entries, anything I’ve written as long as you provide a link back to the page/site it came from.  You can only use my work for non-commercial purposes – ie. you cannot make money off of my writing.  You can’t write a book with my writing in it, a script or a song for whatever based on anything I say, and any other money-making venture without my permission.  If I’m not making any money through my blog, neither is anyone else.  However, I heartily encourage a reference to my posts and then a linkback to my blog for non-commercial sites.  I think this is a fantastic way of getting information out there, and the easiest way to keep it copyright-safe.  If you want to contact me regarding any of this, please do.

One thing I will not tolerate is the misquotation of anything I have written.  There is no excuse for misquotation or misrepresentation.  I’m sure if you tried hard enough, you could find an accurate quote somewhere else.

*******Disclaimer*******

As I delve more and more into certain “hot button” topics, I find it necessary to say that while I appreciate comments to my entries, I will not condone comments that are prejudicial in any way.  I am intolerant of only a few types of people, and they are: Holocaust deniers, racists and bigots.  If you make a comment that I deem falls into any of those categories, I have no problem removing it.  I feel no need to advocate the spewing of hate-filled diatribes, and I will not allow my site to advocate it either.  It was hard for me to come to this decision because it does, in a sense, violate the “free exhange of ideals” but I realized that the people who fall under those three groups don’t care about the “free exchange of ideals” anyway.
